Congratulations to the Stony Point NJROTC unit for an incredible performance this past weekend! Stony Point ROTC officially qualified for the Navy JROTC State Championship after sweeping the nine categories of entire drill meet at Smithsonian Valley to secure the Overall Championship victory.

In a first for the program, the unit qualified for the State Championship right out of the gate at their very first Regional Drill meet of the season! This was driven by the outstanding leadership of Commanding Officer Victoria Martinez (who also led the Unarmed Exhibition team), alongside Team Captains Samantha Trevino (Basic Drill), Aanay Arvind (Academics), (Color Guard) Triston Lourigan, Aaron Caudillo (Armed Exhibition), and Marian Colunga (Marksmanship).

Tigers Swim Team Makes a Splash!

Our first swim meet of the season was an incredible success! Every member of our Swim Team improved their personal times compared to last year, making this a very special accomplishment for our athletes.

Behind every new personal best are countless hours of practice, dedication, and hard work. We are incredibly proud of the progress our swimmers are making and the commitment they are showing both in and out of the pool.

Thank You for Celebrating Hispanic Heritage With Us!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our Hispanic Heritage celebration! We especially appreciate all the teachers who brought their classes and gave their students the opportunity to experience this special event together.

Our audience enjoyed a colorful celebration filled with piñatas, quinceañeras, a Día de Muertos altar, mariachi music, a Hispanic Heritage beauty pageant, and lively latino performances. Each presentation brought a different tradition, story, and expression of Hispanic culture to the stage.

Thank you to our students, teachers, staff, and everyone who helped make this celebration possible. Your support helped us create a meaningful opportunity to celebrate our roots, share our traditions, and bring our community together through culture and music.

Huge news from over the weekend! On Saturday, our Stony Point Navy JROTC unit earned top honors and won the 15th Annual Tiger Challenge Competition!

This is a massive deal, Tigers—after months of early morning practices and intense discipline, our Cadets brought the coveted traveling trophy back home to Stony Point for the first time in over ten years!

A massive congratulations to all of our hard-working JROTC Cadets, along with Master Gunnery Sergeant Ishmael Castillo and Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Ross for their incredible leadership.

If you see a JROTC Cadet in the halls today, give them a high five and congratulate them on bringing the trophy back where it belongs.

Hispanic Heritage Month is here, and we have some exciting celebrations planned!

Tuesday, September 15, teachers, stop by the Teacher Workroom for our Hispanic Heritage Teacher Celebration, featuring delicious traditional foods from different Hispanic countries!

Then, on Wednesday, September 16, join us for Sip, Sip, ¡Olé! from 4:20 to 5:00 PM in the Concession Foyer. Come try different Hispanic sodas and beverages and enjoy a little taste of Hispanic culture!

And don’t miss our Hispanic Heritage Show on Tuesday, September 22, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in the SPHS Auditorium!

Come experience “A Living Story of Our Roots, Traditions, Dreams, and Music,” featuring our students celebrating Hispanic traditions through music, dance, and cultural scenes.
