Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, Round Rock ISD is thrilled to introduce One Badge, a new student ID system that will enhance our school experience for all grade levels. This system will streamline various school-related activities and processes, making it easier for our students to engage in their school community.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Azaiez is ready for students to receive their badges for the new school year.

“We are excited to introduce this new student ID badge system to our district,” he said. “Safety is our biggest priority, so a badge system that focuses on safety while also supporting library materials, meals and transportation needs is the perfect fit for our students and schools.”

To support a safe and secure learning environment, the district will require all students in grades 6-12 to wear a district-issued student ID badge during the school year. Elementary students will have district-issued badges, which will be managed by their teachers, and Smart Tags that will stay hooked to their backpacks so they can return home with them for transportation.

These badges serve as both a visual identification and digital access tools for transportation, campus resources like meals, checking out materials from our libraries and select facilities for events.
