Stony Point FFA Success

Congratulations to Stony Point FFA members that spent the past 5 days showing their swine projects at the San Antonio Gilt Show and Texas elite Gilt Show in Kerrville. San Antonio is the largest show in the state with over 2000 entries from 4-H and FFA members. Although we didn’t come home with any ribbons or banners, getting pulled is an accomplishment when individual class sizes range with 50+ animals, if you get pulled it usually signifies you were in the top 20 animals in the class. Congratulations to:Alison Wiginton (Berkshire)Reyna Scott (Yorkshire)Abigail Gregory (Spot)for getting pulled in their respective gilt sifts/shows. The Texas Elite gilt show is a showcase of 4-h and FFA members showing gilts that were born in Texas and are Certified Texas Bred. The Texas Pork Producers Association started this show 4 years ago to promote the swine projects raised right here in the State of Texas. The competition is fierce and our kids did extremely well again.
